Chief Financial Officer
Meraki Space Systems is a scrappy startup looking to build better worlds; we’re a private military contractor for supporting the national security interests of the United States and our Allies to establish Lunar permanence. Once Lunar permanence is established, we plan to transition into a global space contractor role to construct agriculture domes, hotels and settlements.
Please be aware that we're still in the fundraising stage and the Chief Financial Officer won't be paid their salary until the seed round closes; which provides incentive to meet our funding goals, as quickly as possible.
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. These duties include developing and executing growth strategies for the company's financial goals, establishing the processes and personnel required to grow the company, predicting financial performance, raising capital, managing mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will have oversight of all finance personnel.
Responsibilities
Establish and implement capital strategy required to achieve company goals
Lead the planning and execution of fundraising activities
Provide accountability for the company's fiscal performance
Assess and mitigate risks; identify and pursue strategic business opportunities
Manage relationships with shareholders, investors, bankers and all other stakeholders
Develop contract strategies to ensure company profitability and competitiveness
Manage all financial reporting
Implement and manage budget to accurately forecast quarterly financials
Implement appropriate financial policies, tools, and systems to monitor historical performance
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards related to finance and accounting
Lead and mentor co-workers
Qualifications
CPA license
B.S. degree, finance preferred
MBA viewed favorably
Space Industry knowledge and experience
Experience as a CFO at a growth stage company
Experience in Aerospace and Defense
Experience with financial management software
Experience with fundraising
Ability to obtain security clearance
Salary Range = $250,000 - $500,000
