Please be aware that we're still in the fundraising stage and the Chief Operating Officer won't be paid their salary until the seed round closes; which provides incentive to meet our funding goals, as quickly as possible.

The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the company. These duties include developing and executing manufacturing strategies for the company's infrastructure goals, establishing the processes and personnel required to grow the company, predicting manufacturing costs, raising capital, hiring of manufacturing personnel, project management reporting, operational logistics for astronaut corps and ensuring compliance with all manufacturing and safety standards. The Chief Operating Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will have oversight of all personnel.

 Responsibilities:

  • Day to day operations

  • Oversee operational policies and procedures

  • Operational Logistics for Astronaut Corps such as launch contracts and mission readiness

  • Manufacturing strategy

  • Assisting CFO with financial projections and analyses of existing programs and policies

  • Drive company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives

  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes, while minimizing losses

  • Collect and research relevant data; use intuition and experience to complement data

  • Evaluate, establish, and continually execute a robust supply chain program for relevant products

  • Hiring for manufacturing personnel

  • Infrastructure project management

  • Market and competition analysis

  • Oversee manufacturing operations

  • Oversee manufacturing automation

  • Oversee planning, maintenance, and efficiency

  • Administration for manufacturing operations

  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating conditions of the company

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards related to manufacturing and safety (OSHA)

  • Ensure operational compliance on a company, state, and federal level

  • Represent the company with customers, investors, and business partners

  • Lead and mentor co-workers

  • Fundraising

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in engineering, manufacturing preferred

  • MBA viewed favorably

  • Space Industry knowledge and experience

  • Experience as a COO at a growth stage company

  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense

  • Experience as a military officer

  • Experience as a technician

  • Experience with fundraising

  • Experience with ERP software

  • Ability to obtain security clearance

Salary Range = $125,000 - $250,000
